We
are happy to accept payments via the credit or debit cards providers
listed below.
There is no charge for a debit card, however there is a charge
of 2% for U.K. credit card transactions, reflecting the exact
cost of card processing, as per the OFT guidance.
A deposit by credit card protects all your payments under Section
75 of the 1974 Consumer Credit Act, even if the
balance payment is paid by debit card or cheque. Visa
debit cards also offer the same protection under the lesser
known Visa 'charge back' scheme. There may be a requirement
to register with the '3D secure code' system, an
additional layer of online security, either through 'Verified
by Visa' or Mastercard's 'SecureCode' services. There is no
charge for a credit card from outside the U.K. and we are unable
to accept 'American Express' or 'Diners Club' cards.
If you wish to pay a deposit
by card, or the full rental in the case of a late booking, please
check first that we are holding the property in your name. Our
payment page has a box for the
amount, plus drop-down boxes for the property name and arrival
date. A 'Pay Now' link will take you direct to the secure 'NetBanx'
server, where you can enter your card details. Therefore we
have no knowledge of your personal financial information, giving
you maximum security under data protection. If you are paying
the balance by credit card, on our payment
page please remember to add the 2% fee to the balance stated
in our original confirmation letter.
